The
history of Boxing in Golaghat goes,
it was in 1979 Late Mr. Gogoi along
with some dynamic young learners from
the town started practising the game
in the premises of Golaghat Congress
office. In 1991, All Assam Inter District
Boxing Championship was organized
here for the first time at Golaghat
Indoor stadium where the sub-junior
team of Golaghat was croned with the
best team award. Golaghat District
Amateur Boxing Association also organized
successfully various Boxing Competitions
of Districts and State level. |
